Educational changes in recent years have focused on the application of new technologies, with the aim of empowering students in active learning. The many and varied applications as well as the many Information and Communication Technology (ICT) devices have many benefits when used as educational tools.
In this context, the purpose of this study is to examine the role and importance of Information and Communication Technologies (hereinafter ICT) in the learning process of children, through the prism of parents and teachers, as well as to explore the views of parents-custodians and teachers about the impact of ICT on students' lives over time.
The first two chapters provide an overview of the issue with an emphasis on the importance of technology and the role of ICT in education. A total of 120 people participated in the research. The research part is based on the use of quantitative research, which was conducted in January 2021, with the basic methodological tool being the questionnaire and the analysis tool being the statistical software package SPSS.
The results of the statistical analysis carried out, indicate that there is a positive attitude of parents and teachers in the use of ICT and respectively a corresponding relationship with the degree of familiarity with ICT and positive perceptions of their application in the learning process.
In conclusion, ICT is an important tool for education. In this light, it will be interesting in the future to explore, in a more specific context, specific technological applications and their impact on specific objects and learning processes.
