This diploma thesis deals with the complex issue of administrative change and its management. The theories that have been developed about change management are trying to answer about what makes organizational change more difficult and what is the leadership model that leads to change. Initially reference is made to the meaning, causes and types of organizational change. Then a bibliographic review is made which analyzes the basic models of organizational change and follows an extensive report of the individual and organizational factors that, as shown by the literature, play an important role in the successful outcome of the attempted changes.
For the research part, interviews were conducted with the managers of the 6 municipal health clinics of the Municipality of Athens.
Finally, the thesis is completed with research findings and practical suggestions that could be an inspiration for managers and policy-makers of change.
