| dc.description.abstract | Είναι γεγονός ότι η διαμόρφωση των όρων για τις σταλίες και τις επισταλίες σε ένα ναυλοσύμφωνο μπορούν να διαδραματίσουν καθοριστικό ρόλο στην ανταγωνιστικότητα των εταιριών. Οι επισταλίες αποτελούν σημαντικό κομμάτι του συνολικού τζίρου των Voyage Charter των Oil Tanker και για το λόγο αυτό είναι πολύ σημαντική η οριοθέτηση του ποιος, πότε και τι ποσοστό επιβαρύνουν. Στην παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία γίνεται μία προσπάθεια οριοθέτησης των σταλιών και των επισταλιών με αναλυτική περιγραφή των επιμέρους στοιχείων που τις χαρακτηρίζουν ώστε να γίνει μία σε βάθος κατανόησή των όρων και των λειτουργιών τους και να διαπιστωθεί πως από την αποτελεσματική διαχείρισή τους οι εταιρίες μπορούν να αποκτήσουν ανταγωνιστικό πλεονέκτημα μέσα από την υλοποίηση της στρατηγικής τους. Καταλήγοντας, αποδεικνύεται ότι η σωστή διαχείριση των επισταλιών από την πλευρά των πλοιοκτητών όσο και των ναυλωτών μπορεί να επιφέρει κέρδος και να αποτελέσει ανταγωνιστικό πλεονέκτημα για τις εταιρίες που επενδύουν προς την κατεύθυνση αυτή. | el |

| dc.description.abstractEN | It is a fact that the shaping of the terms for Laytime and Demurrage to a charter party can play a decisive role in the competitiveness of the companies. Demurrages are an important part of the total turnover of the Oil Tanker Voyage Charter and for this reason it is very important to define who, when and how much they charge. In this diploma thesis, an attempt is made to demarcate the terms of Laytime and Demurrage with a detailed description of the individual elements that characterize them in order to make an in-depth understanding of their terms and functions and show that from their efficient management, companies can acquire competitive advantage through the implementation of their strategy. In conclusion, it is proven that the proper management of Demurrages by ship owners and charterers can bring profit and provide a competitive advantage for companies investing in this direction. | el |
