This master’s dissertation, looks at Greek Foreign Direct Investments (F.D.I) in Romania. Our analysis, from the first chapter, makes a start with the introduction to the Theory of Foreign Direct Investments, what F.D.I. stands for, the forms and categorizations of F.D.I., the reasons for the establishment of a Μultinational Enterprise, the Strategic Alliances, the Acquisitions and Mergers and the Turn-key Contracts. Afterward, in the second chapter, we discover the Romanian economy and its general characteristics. In the third chapter, we allude to the fiscal incentives for F.D.I. both Romania and Greece. Furthermore, in the fourth chapter, be presented some of possible asset risks, which may be existed during an investment and this is an inescapable fact, when we are talking about investments. Ultimately, in the fifth and sixth chapter of this senior thesis, we sufficiently deliberate the investments in Romania, focusing on the information technology (IT) sector and the Greek F.D.I. in Romania, correspondingly, accentuating the most significant sectors, such as telecommunications and banking sector.
