Abstract

This diploma thesis aims to codify and analyze international regulations and the corresponding legislative regime regarding the search and rescue picking up shipwrecks. In particular, a more extensive reference is made to the International Maritime Organization, which since the beginning of its foundation has been engaged in the protection of human life in the sea and the reduction of artillery. In addition, other international conventions, such as MARPOL, SOLAS, etc., which regulate the rights and obligations of States, private bodies and private interests, when entering the shipping industry, threaten human life, the environment, the load. This study seeks to summarize the latest institutional developments that have been made by both international and domestic organizations. In conclusion, it is worth noting that most of the legislative changes took place after the creation of a major shipwreck.
