| dc.description.abstract | Στην παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία εξετάζεται η εφαρμογή του κανονισμού Παρακολούθησης, Αναφοράς και Επαλήθευσης των εκπομπών CO2 από τις θαλάσσιες μεταφορές. Αρχικά περιγράφεται η συμβολή της Ναυτιλίας στην ατμοσφαιρική ρύπανση και οι επιπτώσεις της στο περιβάλλον. Εν συνεχεία γίνεται αναφορά στους δείκτες EEDI και SEEMP, στα κύρια χαρακτηριστικά τους και στον σκοπό που εξυπηρετούν. Επιπλέον, αναλύεται ο κανονισμός MRV της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης και συγκρίνεται με το σύστημα συλλογής δεδομένων του Διεθνούς Ναυτιλιακού Οργανισμού. Τέλος, πραγματοποιείται σύνδεση του κανονισμού MRV με τον όρο Ψηφιακό Πλοίο και γίνεται αναφορά σε κάποιες υποδομές που θα μπορούσαν να υιοθετηθούν από τις ναυτιλιακές εταιρείες | el |

| dc.description.abstractEN | This thesis deals with the implementation of the Regulation on the Monitoring, Reporting and Verification of CO2 Emissions from Maritime Transportation. Initially, the contribution of shipping to air pollution and its impact on the environment is described. Reference is then made to the EEDI and SEEMP indicators, their main features and the purpose they serve. In addition, the MRV Regulation of the European Union is analyzed and compared with the International Maritime Organization's data collection system. Finally, a link is made between the MRV Regulation and the term Digital Ship, and reference is made to some infrastructure that could be adopted by the shipping companies. | el |
