Abstract

The present thesis examines the role of globalization in the framework of the evolution of the International Trade. The concept of the trade among different countries has been mentioned for the first time in the 17th -18th century with the school of mercantilists. The primary reason that pushed the countries towards the international trade has occurred since each state is unable to follow a self-sufficiency policy forever. The international trade during the last but mostly this century has evolved with exponential rhythms and has been tightly connected to the concept of globalization, in which coexists not only the trade but also multiple facets of the society, as well as the government. The role of the WTO is also considered as crucial as far as the international trade is concerned, since it operates as a place of commercial negotiation, but also as a mechanism of problem solving.
