Abstract

The aim of this master thesis was to analyze the health sector and specially the sector of medicines in Greece. The exploration of the conditions, the economic and legal framework that it is governed, and thus the potential of the sector for growth and its contribution to the Greek economy. The sector's particularities are very important, since it is not just a commercial sector but depends on many different factors. As a result, its diversity is even in the costing and pricing of its products the medicines. The State, which has been in line with EU directives and procedures, has an important role to play. The development of drugs and the R & D process for the development of a new drug are being developed and analyzed. Finally, with the help of a statistical model, the research of the sector and specific of Research and Development in the medical sector in the Greek economy is investigated.
