The design and pricing of reinsurance contracts
The aim of this work is to study and record the contributionof reinsurance toaddress the major emerging risks in insurance companies’programs. Initially, I willpresent the Reinsurance Historical Review (why it started and what areas itsupported when it first appeared). We will then define its various concepts andoutline the risks that may arise through it.In addition, we will analyze the types of reinsurance that are segregated dependingon how the insurance contract is made (mandatory or optional) and depending onthe ratio by which the premiums and risks are shared between the insurer and thereinsurer (both proportional and non-proportional). Furthermore, we will providenumerical examples for understanding the methods as well as the advantages /disadvantages of each reinsurance method. We will then refer to catastrophic events and cataclysms, analyzing the role of reinsurance in covering major risks from insurance companies, and studying insurance pricing methods -catastrophic events such as Cat Bonds pricing and Cat XL reinsurance pricing. We will alsoanalyze and describe a Road Assistance Program that will be integrated into the Motor Third Party Liability Programs of InsuranceCompany. Finally, we will describe the pricing of the Road Assistance program with the 100% reinsurance method for the Reinsurance Road Assistance program.
