In the purpose of implementation of the postgraduate dissertation, an adaptive teaching system for students based on cognitive learning style, was made and will be presented. For this purpose the Honey, P. & Mumford, A. (1992) questionnaire was used and according to the answers given by each trainee he is categorized in the learning style that suits him/her. Because some trainee learn better through the visual presentation of the learning material, others through his oral presentation and some others prefer to approach it with examples. In order to create the ideal educational environment, an adaptive system offers to the trainee the capability to use several ways of guiding, as to fit his personal needs and improve his education within the system. For this reason the development of an educational environment, applied to the teaching of the C sharp programming language, using certain characteristics of the student, has been made, adapting the course material of the lesson to his particular needs, knowledge and preferences, but in the same time to the rhythm by which he understands the subject being taught. The categories in which students are divided, depending on the answers they will give are: an activist, a reflector, a theoretician and a realist, and then they study and test their knowledge in the course material in the way that suits them. The use of this model is important because it treats students as separate entities or students with similar characteristics as a separate group.
