This paper examines the psychological effects of unemployment and the psychological treatments that are usually applied to the reintegration of the unemployed. The paper provides an analysis of the literature regarding the subject and also presents the example of the only program that has provided psychological and social interventions for the unemployed in Greece. Through the presentation of this program emerges a suggestion for an exhaustive intervention model.
