In this project it is presened the subject of marine insurance and more precisely the
factors that influencing the marine insurance premium and their role.
Firstly, there is a hystorical reference of marine insurance and its development over
the years ending up to the contemporary insurers, the P&I Clubs.Furthermore, it is
mentioned the meaning of the marine insurance as well its object and its
characteristics.
Ιn continuation, it is given emphasis to the marine insurance premium and the contract
as well to the types of insurance contacts depending on the terms that parties agree for
each case.Also, the meanings that are included in the insurance contracts are
mentioned and analysed.
In conclusion, it is analysed in detail ,the factors which are contributing and form the
premium rate either concerns the inscurance of the vessel/hull or the insurance of the
goods.
