Abstract

The aim of the current thesis is the financial analysis of the Greek pharmaceutical companies through the detailed analysis of six leading companies during the period 2007 - 2014. The choice of the period 2007 - 2014 was made so as to present the financial position of the companies during the years comprising before and after the entry of Greece in the economic crisis. The aim of the financial analysis is to identify useful conclusions about the course of the Greek Medicine Market during the period of the economic crisis. Specifically, at first the general economic environment is examined in which the companies are operating. Furthermore, the global pharmaceutical medicine market is analyzed and so as the Greek medicine market. Then, it follows the analysis of the financial position of the testing companies with the use of selected ratios followed by a comparative analysis of the figures. Finally, the conclusion of the analysis and suggestions for further research are presented.
