This essay is focus firstly on the system of management for hospital institutions secondly on the ways of decision making. The management system of hospitals is usually determined from political leadership of the Ministry of Health. Through this essay an effort will de done in order to be answered the following questions: Who is the role of a hospital manager? Who is the role of the hospital board? Which improvements have been done by the laws and decrees? Which reformations have been done at the management of hospital units? Then it follows a historic retrospect on the field of health services, a reference to the law 2592/1953, 1397/1983, 965/1937, the constitutional changes on the decade of 90’s and the last few years.Then there will be an effort to be analyzed the meaning of the expression decision making ( procedure of decision making, description of the steps of decision making, ) a description of the models of decision making and the role of management science. After that, is outlined the organizational structure of hospitals and the obstacles which made difficult the procedure of decision making. At the last part of the assignment, there is a critical approach of the management systems, an outline of modern management model and at the same time a reference at the necessity of the planning and reorganization of the procedures of a hospital unit.
