The concept of insurance over time preoccupied man after playing an important role in the life of influencing decisions due to the advent of unexpected, accidental, painful events. As societies were trying to mitigate or to prevent the loss or the cost of such events, the science of insurance was created. The purpose of this essay is to analyze the concept of insurance, to present the different forms of function that occur in modern societies, their operating mechanisms, the services they offer, their strengths and weaknesses over the lives of people as well as ways to overcome them. Specifically, the work is divided into two main parts where the first one will examine issues of private security while the second part issues of social insurance are analyzed. The ultimate objective of the current essay is to provide a stimulus in order to understand the concepts of security and operating methods and put concerns and proposals for solutions on thorny issues that societies are facing today concerning the future of insurability of their citizens.
