| dc.description.abstractEN | The thesis is an investigation of the strategic, ideological, and geopolitical aspects of the world race in the 5G technology, with particular attention to the growing competition between the United States and China. It examines the way that 5G has changed over time to become a source of international power projection, national security, and digital sovereignty. This paper follows the development of China as the pioneer in 5G innovation, the American strategic responses and the implications on third-party nations and the European Union. By analyzing the diplomatic alliances, technological benchmarks, and infrastructure politics in detail, the thesis unveils how 5G has turned into a major frontier in the battle to determine the future of the world order. The results indicate that such a fight is not merely over market control but also over different types of governance and values in the digital age. The conclusion notes the possible dangers of the global digitalization of fragmentation and the necessity to find multilateral cooperation, norm-setting, and inclusive governance mechanisms as soon as possible. | el |
