This paper assesses how the Arbitration Committee impacts and influences the efficiency of dispute resolution in Greek shipping. Though primarily associated with the word 'court,' arbitration has always played an essential role within maritime industrial confines by providing a highly specialized, very flexible, and often faster alternative to traditional litigation. The purpose is to describe the organization, functioning, and efficacy of the Arbitration Committee in disposing of cases related to shipping disputes timely and cost-effectively. Such analysis is made through a critical appreciation of legal frameworks supported by case studies and industry reviews that would bring out objectively both strengths and weaknesses of arbitration in Greece. Results confirmed that the Committee helped protect business relations and increased trust levels in the shipping sector but identified several areas where actualization toward improvement could strengthen its influence even more. Hence, this study reiterates that specialized arbitration mechanisms have a vital role to play in keeping Greece at the heart of global maritime affairs.
