This dissertation investigates the relationship between financial performance and environmental sustainability in the shipping industry, especially tanker companies. As the maritime sector directs efforts toward sustainable practices, transporting LNG and LPG is gaining importance. The study reviews ESG reports of 30 tanker companies to identify environmental compliance and creates an environmental index. Utilizing financial data and econometric analysis, it investigates the connection between environmental criteria and financial outcomes.
