This paper explores the concept of smart green cities focusing on people, focusing on
sustainability, technology and improving quality of life. Smart cities combine advanced
technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI) and big data to
manage resources, energy, transport and infrastructure.
The human-centric approach to planning seeks the well-being of residents, while green
initiatives promote environmental sustainability through the integration of green spaces and
renewable energy. Through analyses and case studies, the paper presents the benefits and
challenges of smart green cities, examining strategies for their development.
The research concludes that these cities can promote social cohesion, climate resilience and
sustainable economic growth, while ensuring quality of life for all residents.
