This thesis aims to study, analyze and investigate the criteria that positively
influence sustainability based on the ESG framework and risk management as a great
tool for organizations. The term ESG refers to the three main pillars which are
environmental, social and governance issues. Attention to these areas is essential to
promote a more responsible and sustainable investment strategy that can help solve
important social and environmental issues.Risk management is a fundamental
mechanism to support an organisation's business model in the context of sustainable
development.
In an ever-changing business and social environment, organisations face
numerous challenges related to economic, environmental, social and technological
risks. The adoption of an effective risk management strategy allows companies to
integrate sustainability principles, ensuring their long-term resilience and
competitiveness.
Modern businesses rely heavily on technology, which exposes them to new
risks such as cyber-attacks, data loss, system failures and difficulties in adapting to
rapidly evolving digital requirements. Managing technology risks involves ensuring
cyber security, implementing modern data management systems and investing in
training human resources to meet new technological challenges.
Organisations that incorporate effective risk management practices are better
prepared to deal with uncertainties and adapt to changes in the economic, social and
environmental environment. Finally, through continuous risk analysis and
management, businesses can ensure stability, enhance stakeholder confidence and
contribute to the achievement of sustainable development objectives. In a rapidly
evolving world, risk management is a key pillar for creating resilient and sustainable
business models that meet the needs of the future.
