Sustainability has emerged as a key pillar of development in modern industry, with particular emphasis on the aluminium sector. This thesis examines the relationship between the adoption of ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) practices and the financial performance of Greek aluminium production companies. Through a comparative analysis of ESG practices in five selected companies within the sector, the study evaluates their contribution to sustainable development and their impact on financial stability. The research is based on qualitative and quantitative analysis of data drawn from the sustainability reports of these companies, examining indicators such as energy efficiency, waste and emissions management, social and labor policies, and corporate governance practices. Although the sample of five companies in this study is small, the findings highlight that businesses incorporating ESG practices demonstrate increased market resilience and high financial performance, as reflected in the correlation between ESG scores, revenue, and EBITDA. Overall, the analysis confirms the positive connection between sustainable operations and the financial performance of companies.
