The aim of this paper is to examine the strategy of Greece and Turkey regarding Greek-Turkish relations over the years. To answer the research question, secondary qualitative data from Greek and foreign-language literature are used. In addition, secondary quantitative data are used from reports of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The complex of the Greek-Turkish conflicts is analyzed with a presentation of the arguments on both sides as they have been formed up to the present day. The presentation of the conflicts is also presented graphically using maps, where the conflicts are depicted spatially in their full range. More specifically, reference is made to the disputes concerning the coastal zone, the airspace, the sovereignty and demilitarization status of certain Aegean islands and the legal dispute over the delimitation of the continental shelf. It is concluded that the Greek-Turkish disputes as a whole are rocking the bilateral relations of the countries as a result of their competition over the distribution of their power in the region. In any case, as long as they are not resolved by an arbitral or judicial body, they will be an obstacle to any cooperation, which so far as will be shown in the paper is limited to a small economic scope.
