| dc.description.abstract | Η παρούσα εργασία αποτελεί μία μελέτη του νομίσματος της Κίνας ξεκινώντας
από το κοντινό παρελθόν της και καταλήγοντας στο απρόβλεπτο μέλλον της. Ο
δράκος της Ασίας, όπως συχνά την αποκαλούν οι ιστορικοί, έχει προκαλέσει τον
θαυμασμό, αλλά συγχρόνως και τις κακεντρεχείς ανησυχίες. Η διεθνοποίηση του
γουάν αποτελεί μία μακροχρόνια διαδικασία και συναντά πολλές δυσκολίες. Η θέση
της Κίνας στο διεθνές σύστημα καθορίζει τις υπάρχουσες συνθήκες. Το ψηφιακό
γουάν αποτελεί ένα σχέδιο της Κίνας, όχι μόνο να επεκτείνει την οικονομική της
επιρροή ανά τον κόσμο, αλλά και να δημιουργήσει τετελεσμένα. | el |

| dc.description.abstractEN | This paper provides a study of the Chinese currency and its implications for the
global economy. It assesses the recent history of the Yuan and explores the uncertain
prospects of China’s future economic development. China, as the rising economic
dragon of Asia, has evoked both admiration and apprehension from the rest of the
world. The internationalization of the Yuan is a complex and gradual process that
faces a plethora of challenges and constraints. China’s position within the
international system determines the existing conditions. The digital Yuan is an
initiative launched by the Chinese authorities to expand their economic influence and
