This thesis deals with the study and analysis of the Cobb - Douglas production function. Its objective is to estimate the coefficients of the Cobb - Douglas production function, which correspond to the degree of influence of labor and capital on output. To calculate the estimators, this thesis uses data from ten European countries. In particular, five southern European countries (Greece, Cyprus, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Cyprus) and five northern European countries (Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, United Kingdom) have been selected. The ultimate aim is to determine which countries are labor-intensive and which are capital-intensive. The results of this analysis aim to understand the economic structure of the countries. Finally, an investigation will be carried out into the existence of uniformity in the production structure between Southern European countries and between Northern European countries. The aim is to highlight similar or different economic patterns between these groups of countries.
