The concept of the circular economy has gained significant attention in recent years as a sustainable approach to resource management and waste reduction. The European Union (EU) recognizes the importance of the circular economy for achieving environmental goals and sustainability and has established a comprehensive legislative framework to ensure the safety and effectiveness of circular economy bioproducts. This framework includes regulations, directives, and standards aimed at promoting responsible production, use, and disposal of bioproducts while protecting human health and the environment. This paper explores the European legislative framework on the safety of circular economy bioproducts, examining its principles and regulations. By analyzing the principles and regulations of the European legislative framework, this study aims to contribute to ongoing discussions and efforts towards a more sustainable and safe circular economy in Europe.
