The main purpose of this research is to highlight the relationship that has been formed between the NGOs and the public authorities of the country in the field of immigration and refugee issues. Also, the aim of the research is to investigate the possible problems that arose from the specific relationship. Two high-ranking executives of non-governmental organizations participated in the research, the Program Director of the organization Generation 2.0 for Rights, Equality & Diversity and the Social Worker and Manager of the Psychosocial and Legal Support Program of the organization Network for the Rights of the Child. (Network for Children's Rights). Both are active in the field, with 16 and 10 years of experience respectively. In the present research, the qualitative research method was followed, as it offers the possibility of an interpretive approach to the subject under investigation, contributing with its mechanisms to the emergence of useful results. Through the conduct of the present, the positions that have been expressed regarding the role that NGOs have played in the field of refugee and immigration issues, but also the difficulties that characterize the cooperation of the state apparatus with them, are confirmed. In this light, the object of further research could be the investigation of the attitudes of a sample of the population in relation to NGOs in the modern era, i.e. after the consolidation of their operation and given the data that have emerged regarding their action since the years 2015-16 onwards.
