The widespread use of the internet at younger and younger ages creates the need to implement educational programs to protect children from the dangers of its frivolous use. It is the duty of the school to keep up with the needs of society, to harness the benefits of the internet in the learning process and to equip students with knowledge and attitudes that will enable them to use the internet in their lives safely.
The aim of this thesis is to create a series of activities, which can be included and utilized within the context of the school classroom by teachers, in order to inform students both about the dangers lurking on the internet and about the necessity of fortification against them.
During the pilot application of the program to a small sample of students, it appeared to have positive results in terms of students' interest in participating in it. The ultimate goal is to implement it in more classes in order to create a culture of safe internet use and student protection in the school.
