Despite scientific and medical advances, nosocomial infections continue to be a major public health problem worldwide and have significant implications for patient morbidity and mortality, as well as for the duration and cost of hospitalization. Infection control and prevention are the only way to reduce the percentages of infection and risk factors, especially in cases of pandemic / epidemic threats, such as the recent Covid-19 pandemic. In this context, health professionals have been identified as important factor in the transmission or prevention of nosocomial infections.
