| dc.description.abstractEN | Maritime transport contributes to the transfer of huge amounts of bulk cargo, ie oil, coal, iron ore and other raw materials and fuel and food, merchandise and other goods. Today, the global economy is largely based on the movement of goods by sea, which makes it possible to develop in areas that have resources, such as India and China. One sector of the global economy that is showing bloom, is the transport of dangerous goods such as LPG. The Extended use of gas and liquefied gas generally in recent years from industry, has led to increased demand and consequently has increased the transfer of gas ships. The fact that the LPG is considered to be hazardous load, the conditions of handling and transport are very strict. For this reason, the transfer of these products is done specially by built ships, called LPG Carriers, which are specially designed tanks, with alarm systems in case of leakage. In this paper there is a presentation of LPG transportation with ships, which is an important economic sector of maritime transport. | el |
