This present diplomatic thesis examines the huge and at the same time very significant issue about marine insurance of the ship and above all the dangers, which are either covered or excluded from the legal framework. From very early, the employees of the maritime sector came across with the need of fighting the marine hazards and especially the damages which caused from them at the ships and the carried cargoes. So, the target of this thesis is to lay out every detail in order to analyze the meaning of marine insurance both of the ship and the cargo through the Private Maritime Law Code. Especially, it will be pointed out the cases of dangers/ damages which either enjoy protection or are excluded from the insurance coverage. The very large extent of the above issue does not allow to be exhausted within a diplomatic thesis. So given this true fact, it was made an effort to be examined the most important aspects of the issue, having as purpose to provide a general update to anyone interested and also highlight the major aspects of the Greek and the English framework.
