Abstract
The present diploma thesis is the result of a bibliographic research and in the first part examines the integration of intercultural education within the European Union while exploring through important Treaties-Stations and Resolutions about the general creation of a social, economic, political and educational strategy in order to avoid exclusion of these social groups entering the European Union from third countries. The second part of the thesis focuses on the Greek area and the strategies for integrating the European Union's proposals into the national educational system in order to assimilate and develop the respect and the spirit of cooperation among the student population through presidential decrees, laws and ministerial decisions, as well as the role played by the teacher within the classroom. Finally, there are the conclusions that come from the attitude of the European Union in conjunction with the current legislative framework of Greece in the area of intercultural education.
