The purpose of this work is to highlight as clearly as possible the role of Maritime Security, in particular the P & I Clubs of the Mutual Insurance Association or otherwise called Protection and Indemnity Groups. Through a detailed presentation, we will look at the evolution of these groups, how they are organized and how they operate, the range of coverage they offer. In addition, we will focus on their role in the event of an accident or operational pollution from oil and how it is covered by these bodies. Particularly in the field of pollution, we will study what is pollution, what its main sources, how it happened, whether it was an accident or the human factor, the operating conditions of the ship, who and how to compensate. We will also talk about pollution from oil, to what is oil, how it affects the environment and human life, and how such a form of pollution can be prevented. In addition, reference will be made to major accidents that have occurred in the world and have changed the ecosystem and human life. It will also include the laws of Europe, America and the International Treaties to prevent such pollutants and what they predict in such cases. Work will be completed with ways to prevent and avoid such a serious form of pollution as oil and how to preserve the ecosystem and human life as much as possible.
