Abstract

This study analyzes the course of Foreign Direct Investment in the Balkan region and especially in the country of Bulgary. An analysis of the theory of Foreign Direct Investment and of the features of Greek Foreign direct investment in the Balkan countries is presented. We can also observe the role of the Greek investments in the Balkan region and especially the companies and the sectors which have invested in Bulgary. Moreover, it is highlighted the way that economical crisis in Greece had strong influence to a lot of Greek companies and make them create direct foreign investments. Finally, we analyze thee reasons of this choice. It should be noted that the data while have been used for this study come from authoritative sources like Greek Authorities, International Organizations and design organizations
