Modern IT and communication technologies play an important role in improving health services. The implementation of e-Health through the exchange of information and data between citizens (patients and health) and healthcare providers in either a clinical or wider business environment can have benefits for the health level of citizens and society in general thanks to improving accessibility to health services, providing appropriate information, moving towards more effective prevention and treatment, and ultimately enhancing the efficiency of the health sector. The aim of this work is to study the relevant trends both in Greece and globally, as well as in areas of interest both in the clinical and in the wider commercial sector.
