Wikipedia is a website that provides free reading and processing access for terms of many cognitive subjects. In recent years, users and those who call it a source even in bibliographies have been dynamically growing. This paper explores the credibility of this online encyclopedia in order to allow the scientific community to use it more extensively and in evidence in teaching, public information, writing work and any other scientific use. More specifically, the scientific clarity of terms of health economics is considered in comparison to their interpretation in scientific health economics books. 101 terms were searched and studied in English and Greek in the Wikipedia. Their relevance was identified with the conceptual meaning that gives the terms the scientific writings dealing with health economics. It was observed that the terms that appear in the electronic library are highly relevant in relation to the literature. However, there is a large deficit of registered terms regarding the subject of health economics, especially in the Greek edition. Additionally, the tendency to search terms in Google's search engine has been studied. In conclusion, Wikipedia is a valuable and growing search and information tool for specialized scientific terms. Generally, it is a reliable tool-manual with several shortcomings in terms and sometimes confusing interpretation due to the multifaceted nature of several terms.
