| dc.description.abstract | Σκοπός της παρούσας εργασίας είναι να παρουσιάσει και να αναλύσει την ανάπτυξη μιας native android εφαρμογής ηλεκτρονικής συνταγογράφησης. Η εφαρμογή στοχεύει στο να συνδέσει τον γιατρό με τον ασθενή και να δώσει την δυνατότητα και στους δύο να αλληλοεπιδράσουν σε ένα εικονικό περιβάλλον χωρίς να είναι απαραίτητη η φυσική τους παρουσία στο ίδιο σημείο. Αυτό θα βοηθήσει τόσο τους γιατρούς στο να μειώσουν την χρόνο εξέτασης, αλλά και τους ασθενείς να λάβουν πιο άμεσα βοήθεια για το πρόβλημα τους. Οι ασθενείς είναι υπεύθυνοι να καταχωρήσουν ηλεκτρονικά το μητρώο υγείας τους και να ζητήσουν από έναν γιατρό να κάνει μια διάγνωση σχετικά με το πρόβλημά τους. Ο γιατρός από την πλευρά του, μπορεί να περιηγηθεί στο ιστορικό του ασθενούς και βασιζόμενος στις πληροφορίες αυτές να κάνει μια διάγνωση και να προτείνει την κατάλληλη θεραπεία. Για την ανάπτυξη της εφαρμογής χρησιμοποιήθηκαν δυο βάσεις δεδομένων, μια σ ’ένα Web Server και μια τοπική σε SQLite, ώστε η εφαρμογή να μπορεί να δουλεύει τόσο σε offline όσο και σε online mode. H επικοινωνία της εφαρμογής με την online βάση δεδομένων επιτυγχάνεται με τη χρήση Web Services και κατάλληλων libraries. Εκτός από την android εφαρμογή, αναπτύχθηκε και ένας ιστότοπος διαχείρισης, με κύριο σκοπό την διαχείριση χρηστών της εφαρμογής. Καθώς η εφαρμογή απευθύνεται σ’ έναν ευαίσθητο από πλευράς προστασίας προσωπικών δεδομένων τομέα, κρίνεται απαραίτητο να ληφθούν και τα κατάλληλα μέτρα τόσο για την προστασία των «ασθενών», όσο και των «γιατρών», πριν τη δημοσίευσή της. | el |

| dc.description.abstractEN | Mobile devices is an old concept for the tech world. Even since the first steps of computing there was considerable effort on researching smaller devices. During the last few years truly portable small devices were able to build. The revolution had such an extent that the mobile device business kick started and overlapped many of the steps through the maturity process. Cheap - affordable mobile devices at the form of mobile - cell phones and tablets even the more fashionable wearables have flooded the market. More and more people of the developed and developing world gain access to the World Wide Web and an ecosystem of mobile applications have emerged tackling and overcoming barriers of the traditional technology. At the moment there are 1000s of applications providing services in a more advanced fashionable and yet cheap way. As an example we can easily have a thought of applications like Viber, WhatsApp or Skype that provide a new way of cheap communications avoiding the costly long distant call costs. The ecosystem evolves more and more with applications utilizing and evolving all aspects of our life, social, political, economically. From the way that we communicate to the way that we are reading the news to the way that we order food or organizing a night out the processing map of our lives depends more and more to the use of a portable device. Having put that forward the way that we deal with health aspects of our lives could not have been different. Android and iOS marketplaces are populated more and more with applications that target the way that we learn, monitor, interact with our medical conditions. There are voices that raise the need for a World Wide accepted medical application that can help the patients and the doctors communicate without the need of the physical presence. This is what in stake with the development of this application. The application is just a proof of concept in its simplest form. The application is aspiring in terms of architectural requirements and needs. As there were no need of world standards conformity and no real life solutions to serve the focus of the design and implementation have been on open standards, zero cost modular development, low energy footprint, negligible occupation of system (memory - disk) resources. If the concept is proofed then additional functionality need to be built on top and not major rebuilding should take place. | el |
