The sector of health care absolutely comprises for all of us a very significant part of our lives. As a result of my studies in the science of health and thereafter my post gradate studies in the Department of Computing the following post graduate dissertation derived. The aim of this dissertation is the implementation of a programme concerning the surgical sector of any hospital and more specifically the operating theatre. In the first part – the bibliography- information of a general type in terms of health is provided. Initially, the definition of health and its advancement is explained. Next it is mentioned how our healthcare system is separated in organisation and management. The combination of computing and health is mentioned here along with the advantages and disadvantages stemming from it. In relation to the afore mentioned Medical and Biomedical Computing are created, which together comprise the latest touch in the development of technology but also of the science. Furthermore, it would be useful for the reader to understand the structure of a surgery as well as the treatment of the patient just before the surgery, during it and after its completion. The second part of the dissertation consists of the implementation of the programme in which is also included my idea which was born abroad. The events took place in Finland during a teaching semester of my school. In conclusion, we could say that the health sector – one of the most complex and difficult ones – in combination with the technology provided by the Computer science and Programming systems may bring huge benefits: significant improvement of time, less fatigue for the employees, increase of production and of course the most consequential gain in two words: work and enjoyment. Not work and suffering.
