Abstract

The use of mobile devices is quite common nowadays. According to ComScore Networks, an American internet analysis company, the number of mobile users exceeded the computer users since 2014. By 2017, its expected that over 268 billion downloads of mobile apps will generate $77 billion worth of revenue. Native mobile applications are targeted at specific mobile platforms. This phenomenon imposes severe constraints, such as the use of different development environments, technologies, and APIs for each mobile platform, leading inevitably to a waste of development time and effort, and an increased maintenance cost. This master thesis focuses on cross platform mobile application development.
