The problem that I am called to solve is the "Discovery of "New Sea-Networks" from AIS Data". The AIS, the Automatic Identification System, of a ship will help us collect information about the location and the parameters that might affect a ship's route at any time. I believe that it is a subject worth to deal with and devote time. The subject that we will develop and analyze through this paper, is practically an application with high utility, especially for people involved with navigation in our country. The main motivation is to be able to analyze in depth large databases and to understand how the variables with greatest influence "act" on the problem that we are called to solve. The prospect that this application might have, as well as the knowledge of the action of large databases, is a huge incentive for someone to involve with this paper and its preparation.
In this field various papers have been made targeting the study and finding algorithms for the solution of dealing with large databases in short time for better and faster use. These papers try to provide solutions in the various problems that large databases create. One of the most basic problems is the one with the repeated item sets that is observed in databases. The papers that have been studied and will be mentioned later are related mostly with the location of theoretical or practical models, which primary aim to shrink the huge databases.
