Abstract

This thesis was done in order to study and consider the meaning of the cruise, its course until today especially in the Mediterranean market, the financial information concerning it, the trends prevailing in the market and certainly future trends and prospects. More specifically, drawing information from organizations working with the cruise industry and with authoritative sources from the internet operators and companies operating in cruise succeeded in this paper to record in detail the economic benefits accruing to the Mediterranean from the cruise sector and benefits that have economic sectors related to the cruise. We record the countries taking part in the destinations of cruise companies, the relationship between these countries and thoroughly deal with the situation in Greece around the cruise. Finally, having analyzed the cruise industry we reached some conclusions on both the Mediterranean and the Greece as the benefits of the industry are numerous and the prospects for the near future even more optimistic as the share of this sector that can be gained by our country is big enough to set the scene and make the right steps towards success.
