Abstract

The subject of this thesis is related to Web Application Frameworks. Firstly, the main features of software frameworks as well the reasons to use them, are mentioned. A similar approach is followed about Web Application Frameworks. Moreover, the main Web Application Frameworks for the most popular programming languages are presented. The main features of Struts2 and Spring are presented and their functionality is explained. Finally, an online quiz application is created, based on the Web Application Frameworks for the Java programming language, Struts2 and Spring.
