The scope and purpose of this study was to describe in brief, present and define the meaning of a project, it’s life cycle phases and it’s difficulties in construction and completion in the difficult environment of international competition and the effort of each company to gain greater market share successfully delivering a construction project. In this study a total list of project management methods is been recorded regarding an infrastructure project, also it is presented a list of potential risks likely to arise during the implementation of the project and ways to overcome them. Furthermore, special reference is made to the role and the actions required to be undertaken by the project manager. Finally, the life cycle of a specific infrastructure project is described, such as the upgrading and replace of Medium Voltage primary switchboards from the perspective the end user, a cement industry, but even more so on the part and perspective of the contractor who undertakes the responsibility of constructing and project delivery.
