The scope of the present work is to examine the best cost and differentiation strategy that is implemented by the company AB Vassilopoulos. The work is divided into two parts. In the first part, which consists of four chapters, there is a theoretical approach of the said strategy that contains the analysis of both the company’s internal and external environments, the presentation of the competitive advantage achievement strategies, as well as the theoretical background of private label products, which is required for the seventh chapter’s case study.
In the work’s second part that consists of five chapters, initially, there is a presentation of the company AB Vassilopoulos. The above stated are followed by an analysis of the company’s business environment, on the basis of the theoretical framework established in the study’s first part and in continue, in the chapters seven and eight, are presented two case studies regarding the optimum cost and differentiation strategy that is implemented by the company AB Vassilopoulos.
Finally, in the ninth chapter is presented a research concerning the measurement of AB Vassilopoulos customers’ satisfaction. From the conduct of the aforesaid research in conjunction with its data analysis, through the SPSS 17 statistical software, come the corresponding results, as far as the company customers’ overall satisfaction is concerned and in specific their satisfaction regarding private label products and the AB Shop & Go stores located inside Shell gas stations.
