Population movements from one are to another is a phenomenon that is ingrained in the human history.
Nowadays the population movements from one country to another is the kingpin in the sense of migration. The reasons for this phenomenon vary. However at any case the basic goal is the search of a better life.
Today for instance we are facing this migration phenomenon from countries that suffer from war (Syria) to the European Union. Our country due to its geographical position is the “pass” for all refugees to the European Union where thousands of people arrive daily in our borders.
In this thesis this phenomenon will be examined but from the supply chain point of view.
Initially we will define the meaning of humanitarian logistics, examine some case studies and last see how this phenomenon is affecting Greece in the perspective of logistics.
