At first, this paper refers to the theoretical part of digital marketing and online advertising. That includes a brief reference to the Internet, the tools of the Internet and the advantages and disadvantages of it. Also, there is a brief flashback of online advertising, there are presented the key features of online advertising, the promotional sites of online advertising, advantages and disadvantages of online advertising and becomes a comparison between traditional and online advertising. Furthermore, there are presented the types of online advertising and the most important techniques of online marketing. Finally, in research level, the main idea was to record the behavior and attitude of consumers, through filling out questionnaires from them, in order to investigate the effectiveness of online advertising to the consumers.
