Abstract

This thesis focuses on creating a website about finding private tutors in Greece. At first the tutor creates a full profile containing: - Personal information (first name, last name, age, sex, phone number, email address ) - Studies (level of study, institute of study) - Social networking elements (facebook, twitter, google, web page) - Teaching lessons (primary school, high school, foreign languages, music lessons, dance classes) - Teaching region and municipalities - Elements of teaching (price per hour, years of experience, notes) - Personal photograph Then the tutor has to choose one of the two payment methods. Either deposit sum in bank or transfer this sum in a bank account. Or he can pay by using his credit card online (www.vivapayments.com). The tutor can also login in his profile by using his personal passwords and make any changes. When the tutor creates his profile the student is able to seek the suitable tutor. The search becomes via four filters: - Course filter (which course wants to study) - Level of education filter ( level of education) - Region filter (region of stay) - Municipality filter (municipality of region) By choosing the filters that he wants the student clicks the button of search. Clicking the search button a tutor list will be presented that satisfies his choices. On this list he can choose the tutor that considers that is the most suitable for his course.
