The current thesis regards the analysis, designing, development, implementation and evaluation of an Emotional Intelligence software that is aimed at preschool students. ADDIE MODEL, an acronym which stands for Analysis - Design - Development - Implementation and Evaluation, was used throughout the software’s development, which was done in Visual Studio using C# language. Emotional Intelligence was first introduced through the theories of Thorndike and Gardner, but lately an increased interest in studying it is being observed (Platsidou). Specifically, the Ministry of Health, in a relative newsletter in 2012, announced the implementation of the educational program “Steps for Life”, which regards the development of personal and social skills of Kindergarten students. The concept of the software, as well as the activities, were largely based on the aforementioned program. The purpose of this study is the creation of a software that will assist the teaching of Emotional Intelligence by merging standard teaching practices and new technologies.
