Now in the 21st century, we can observe that the banks are in a phase of transformation and redefinition of their model function. Key features of the new model is the gradual change of the banking branch from a trade center to a counseling center, encouraging customers to use the cheaper channel for their business and increasing profitability while the banks would reduce their operating costs. The e-banking is now a network of sales and service for all banks.
The aim of this project is to reach out and examine the e-banking from both sides, such as theoretical and research level. The theoretical approach refers to the concept, features, benefits and drawbacks of the new banking distribution channel. The research approach aims primarily to show the penetration of e-banking in Greece and the familiarity of the Greeks with this new form of banking, looking at both sides this of the customer and this of the officer. This means that we have two different questionnaires.
