The economic crisis in the Euro-zone, and particularly in Greece, is a phenomenon with many economical, cultural, and social effects. This crisis seems to affect companies, employees and employers of the companies, and their activities too. It has been found, that the better the computerization of a company, the better their Management and Organization are, so the Company has more possibilities to go on, and be competitive. The goal of this thesis, is to raise the importance, to analyze the function, and the development of a center in which we administrate all the information systems, the Information Systems Center. We are talking about a Greek, medium-sized, Information Systems Center, in which there are working about 80-100 employees. After a description of Project Management, we proceed in Information Systems Management, we analyze the Organization, the Planning of the Information Systems Center. We go on with the chapter of Information Systems Evaluation, in which we describe the procedure, we select the most appropriate system for development. Security is one of the most important matters of Companies worldwide. In the Security Chapter, we refer the security issues, and the efforts of Greek Companies to solve their problems. In conclusion, the most important part of a data center is its staff, and certainly a company with culture, and prospects, have to invest in people. As technology evolution goes on, the need of using Information Systems Management is more imperative than ever.
