Abstract

Data Envelopment Analysis is considered as one of the most important non-parametric techniques to evaluate the efficiency scores of Decision Making Units. Recently, network DEA models have been developed to examine the efficiency of DMUs with internal structures. The internal network structures range from a simple two-stage process to a complex system. In this current work, two-stage networks DEA are discussed with respect to the estimation of overall and divisional efficiency and projections. Furthermore, we study and categorize two-stage network DEA applications, based on the approach they use and their scope of application.
